Wham - Bam - Dead
A couple of weeks ago I created my 2nd character a W/M. Originally I was going to use it as a mule for my N/Me but I had so much fun bashing heads up close and personal I decided to go with it. So I get it to 20 and the other night ascended and last night got to Droks???s upgraded my armor and hacked my way to the Iron Mines of Moladune. No one was interested in teaming so I grab henchies and entered the mission. It was as I remembered doing it with my Necro, fun and doable with henchies. Then I ran into Jade Armors. Instantly I had 10 bars of degen and was dead almost immediately. Ouch! That did not just happen. So I start the mission again, get to the same point, and whammo ??? repeat. It looked like all 3 hit me with something like Life Transfer that totally disregarded armor and a very fast kill. I remembered fighting them with my Necro that they were tough but nothing like that had happened (guess that char didn???t get touched by them).
Anyway, other than the obvious ???stay away from them??? any suggestions for warrior how to survive and triumph against these uglies? |

You're obviously referring to the mursaat with their spectral agony........ don't go anywhere near them until you infuse. That's not just for wammo's but for everyone.

Avoid them. Until your armour is 'infused' with the Spectral Essence of the Eidolon (a boss with natural resistance to Murssat) you will die extremely fast when encountering these enemies. Towards the end of the Iron Mines of Moladune mission, you'll meet the Seer who will instruct you to kill the eidolon and your armour will be infused when you carry it back to the Seer. Thereafter, you will have minimal degen from the Mursaat and Jades.

You have to avoid the mursaat and jades until you get to the seer at the very north part of the mission map. Then she'll give you a quest to kill the Eidlion and you'll get 'infused', allowing you to fight the mursaat and jades without much damage from their Specral Agony skill.

BTW, S.Agony does:
10 Bars of Degen, and 100dmg a sec for 5 secs. After Infusion it does: 3 Bars of Degen I beleive, and 9 dmg a sec for 5 secs. |

Spectral Agony is a monster skill that can only be used by Mursaat, Jade Armors, and Jade Bows.
For 5 seconds, target foe suffers 1...24 Health degeneration, moves, attacks and uses skills up to 80% slower than normal, and loses 3...81 Health each second. http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Spectral_Agony |

The number ranges in the skill desp wiki came up with are weird.
My former numbers, as you'll see in the chart, are correct. |

Knightsaber Sith and Former Ruling are correct in thier post. As called from the great wicki -
All Mursaat (including the Jade Armors and Bows) possess a power called Spectral Agony that causes great damage over a short span of time. Infusion is the only protection against Spectral Agony. Also a character cannot suffer more than 10 health degen or health regen. Even though wicki says 30 degen for this skill, this fact makes it 10 degen. The Direct damage per second is 100 with no infused pieces of armor. Therefore one cast of this with no heal afterwards means dead in 5-4-3-2-1-x.x With base health of 480 plus 41 with major vigor, then maybe a 30 shield and 30 fortitude you would have 581 health. Subtract 100 each second factor in the degen and damage received by the attacking jade and it can even be quicker than that. |

the numbers of the guildwiki maybe are related to the fact that you need to be wearing the 5 armor infused stuff:
headger chest leggings hands feet if you are wearing all 5: Quote:
if you are not wearing all 5: Quote:
if you are wearing between 1-4 infused armor pieces the degen will scalate down according to how many armor pieces you have on and are infused. http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Spectral_Agony check the table |

Jade armor are constucts animated by the Mursaat, entailing all the Mursaat powers. Think of them as Mursaat drones / armored troops.
